Explanation:

g(x) = 2x - 9

g(4) = 2* 4 - 9

= 8 - 9

= - 1

g(1) = 2 * 1 - 9

= 2 - 9

= - 7

Now

g(4) - g(1)

= - 1 - ( -7)

= - 1 + 7

= 6
