The calculated length of the segment GI is 17 units

How to determine the length of the segment GI

From the question, we have the following parameters that can be used in our computation:

The figure

Where, we have

IH = 26

EI = 34

IF = 13

The chords FE and GH are intersecting chords

This means that

GI * IH = EI * IF

Substitute the known values into the equation

GI * 26 = 34 * 13

This gives

GI = 34 * 13/26

Evaluate

GI = 17

Hence, the length of the segment GI is 17 units
