Although the side effects of food poisoning may take a little bit more time to show yes this can result in food poisoning. Bacteria can replicate the most exponentially at around 40–140°F. Temperatures below 40F do not replicate as quickly and might be safer to eat (obviously make sure to cook it anyways depending on what food it is) but if you know your food is highly contaminated it is not recommended to eat.
