A football team is on the 40-yard line after four plays. On the first play they gained 15 yards. On the second play they lost 6 yards. They gained 3 yards on the third play and twice as many on the fourth play. On which yard line did the team begin?

22-yard line

Explanation:

1st play - 2nd play = 15-6 = 9 yards

3rd play - 4th play = 9 + 3 + 6 = 18 yards

18 yard movement

40-18 = 22- yard line

Answer: 22 yard line

22 + 15 = 37

37 - 6 = 31

31 + 3 = 34

Twice as many is X2 usally so

3x2=6

34 + 6 = 40
