Eli has bought a shirt and a pair of pants for a total of 600 kr. Simin bought four of those shirts and two of those pants, and it cost her 1500 kr. How much did one shirt cost?

let the price of one shirt be x and one pant be y

Eli--> x+y=600------eq1

Simin-->4x+2y=1500-----eq2

Solve both the equations

multiply eq1 x 4= 4x+4y=2400

now subtract ew2 from 1

you will get y=450 and x=150

so price of one shirt=150 kr
