HELP PLEASE!!!

Which equation can be used to calculate the area of the shaded triangle in the figure below?


2(12 × 4) = 96 square feet
1 over 2.(12 × 4) = 24 square feet
2(12 + 4) = 32 square feet
1 over 2.(4 + 12) = 8 square feet

so the answer isn’t 32 it’s actually 24. because if you do the area of a rectangle with a width of 4 and a length of 12 you get 48 ft squared. the. divide that by 2 and you get 24 because half of a rectangle from one angle to the other makes a triangle meaning half of the rectangle. so half of 48 is 24

1 over 2.(4 + 12) = 8 square feet
