Explanation:

so you can split the hexagon into two trapezoids, and then find the area of one of those trapezoids, which is what I did. The area of a trapezoid I think is

a, b=base, h=height

A=a+b/2*h

is a really bad way of saying it, but that's how I know to do it.

So anyways I just substituted the numbers with their corresponding letters and solved. So the area of one trapezoid was 39, and since we have two 39's, you do 39*2 and you get 78.
