Confirmation bias on political sides

Both sides agree that their opinion is the right one. An example could be with the COVID vaccine, someone could’ve heard on the news that it causes cancer on the news and believe that it will cause cancer. The CDC could affirm that it doesn’t cause cancer and that person will still believe that it does even though there belief was just proved wrong. Any political stance could go for this too as you see confirmation bias a lot in politics.
