Making x the subject, the equation becomes: x = 2xz - u/5 + 2y

Using the expression given;

  • 5(x−2y)=2xz−u

opening the bracket ;

5x - 10y = 2xz - u

Add 10y to both sides to isolate 5x

5x = 2xz - u + 10y

divide both sides by 5 to isolate x

x = 2xz - u/5 + 2y

Hence, the equation is : x = 2xz - u/5 + 2y
