In the figure, the value of k is 14 degrees

How to find the value of k

The value of K is sought using the following steps

let the base angels of the isosceles triangle be y

y = 83 degrees (alternate interior angles)

Applying sum of internal angles of a triangle

let the base angels of the isosceles triangle be y

2y + k = 180

2(83) + k = 180

k = 180 - 166

k = 14 degrees
