2. If you will be traveling 4 miles, which cab company should you call and how much will it cost you?

3. How many miles would you travel for the cost to be the same for both cabs and how much will that cost you?

4.What is the difference in cost between the two companies if you need to travel 3 miles?

Yellow cab: m = (12 - 6)/2 = 6/2 = 3

y = 3x + 6

Blue cab: m = (12 - 2)/2 = 10/2 = 5

y = 5x + 2

1) Call the blue cab: $5 + $2 = $7

2) Call the yellow cab: $12 + $6 = $18

3) 2 miles, $12

4) $17 - $15 = $2 difference
