Step 1: Subtract the numbers
32x+6-1 = 3
32x+5=3

Step 2: subtract 5 from both sides & simplify
32x+5=3
32x+5-5= 3-5
= 32x=-2

Step 3:
Divide both sides by the same factor
32x = -2
32x/32 = -2/32

Step 4: Cancel terms that are in both the numerator and denominator + divide the numbers

32x/32 = -2/32
x = -2/32

divide the numbers

x=-2/32
x=-1/16

Answer = x= -1/16
