Part A: To find the slope of JK, we can use the formula: slope = (change in y) / (change in x).
Slope of JK = (-1 - 11) / (2 - (-6)) = -12 / 8 = -3/2.
Part B: To find the slope of LM, we can use the same formula.
Slope of LM = (10 - 8) / (-1 - (-4)) = 2 / 3 = 2/3.
Therefore, the slope of JK is -3/2 and the slope of LM is 2/3. Since the slopes are not equal (not the same fraction or negative reciprocal), JK and LM are neither parallel nor perpendicular.
