If one number is x then the other is x+5. Then x(x+5) = 84.
X^2 + 5x - 84 = 0
(X - 7)(x + 12) = 0
X = 7 or x = -12.
So, the possible numbers are
1. 7 and 12.
2. -12 and -7.
