What does (1/2)^-3 equal and why? (Please explain the why part.)

It would be .125 or 1/8

Why?
Because it’s to the power of so basically you’re doing 1/2x1/2x1/2 not 1/2x3.

So (3)^3 is 27 because 3x3x3 is 27.

If that makes sense if it doesn’t I’m sorry.
