This isn’t school related subject but I do need help.

Why does my ex only talks to my friends but not me. He only comes around me when my friends are fighting and need help. He says were just friends but never talks to me. He will look at my story in snap though. He will ask my friends who I am dating or how I am. I don’t get why he asks about me when he never speaks to me.
