Do we multiply the bottom number of the fraction in probability if the bottom numbers are BOTH same?

Answer:

specifically for probability, yes, but in most other cases if the two bottom things are the same you just add them

it's only done in probability cause like

ok you have dice right 6 sides whatever

1/6 1/6 if you add them you get 2/6 and it's definitely not 2/6 likely to get two specific numbers in a row

1/36 makes way more sense
