A complementary angles are two angles that add up to 90 degrees. So if angle A is 42, then angle B has to add up to 90 degrees. So 90-42=48 degrees.

Answer= angle B is 48 degrees
Hope this helps!

Answer:

b = 48°

Explanation:

When two angles are complementary, their sum is 90 degrees.

Knowing this we can set up an equation to find B:

42 + b = 90

b = 90 - 42

b = 48
