-2x-8>x+8
Subtracting 8 from both sides
-2x-16>x
Subtracting x from both sides
-3x-16>0
Adding 16 both sides
-3x>16
Multiply both sides with -1 which changes the sign of inequality
Thus we get,
3x<16
x<16/3
