when it’s brackets in brackets, you solve the bracket inside the bracket. In this case, (3-1) which equals 2.

=(12 / (3-1) + 4) x 6
=(12/ 2 + 4) x 6
=( 6 + 4 ) x 6
=(10) x 6
=60
