Answer:

13 is your answer.

let two no. be x and y

by question

x+y=5

x=5-y...........(1)

xy=6.............(2)

putting the value of x in equation 2) we get

(5-y)y=6

5y-y²=6

y²-5y+6=0

y²-3y-2y+6=0

y(y-3)-2(y-3)=0

(y-3)(y-2)=0

either

y=3

or

y=2

putting the value of y in equation 1

when y=3

x=5-3=2

when

y=2

x=5-2=3

now

when

x=3 y=2

the sum of the square of the numbers=x²+y²=3²+2²=9+4=13
