Answer:

They are both lipids. In fact, they are both esters of fatty acids and alcohol.

The difference between them is that FATS are esters of fatty acids and GLYCEROL. On the other hand in WAXES there's only a single long-chain fatty acid attached to a long-chain alcohol (not glycerol).
