A. 450 trucks
Explanation:
Given
Totally the parking lot can hold 1000 vehicles
Only 2/5 of the spaces are for cars
Therefore spaces for cars = 2/5 x 1000 = 400
At time of entering store there were
300
cars
Parking lot was
3/4
full
If the parking lot was 3/4 full, then there must have been 1000 x 3/4 =
750
vehicles in the lot
Out of these, 300 were cars, rest must be trucks
Remaining spaces after 300 car spaces
= 750 - 300
=
450
trucks
