What were the expected consequences of the Green Revolution? And What were some unintended consequences?

Answer: Diminishing water resources and soil toxicity increased the pollution of underground water. The only aim of the green revolution was to increase food items' production and make it sufficient to feed everyone. The environmental impacts were not taken into account.
