Chemical life, such as based on DNA, can only withstand a certain amount of battering. The chemical bonds that hold DNA and RNA together simply fail when the temperature exceeds about 300 degrees Fahrenheit / 150 degrees Celsius. Why is that? Temperature is how we measure the relative energy of atoms crashing into each other. No motion = no heat. Motion = heat. “Too violent” limits RNA and DNA to temperatures below the above figures.
