Explanation:

1/4x+2=10

You take the 2 to the other side, and when you do that the + becomes - so:

-> 1/4x=10-2

->1/4x=6

Then you take the 1/4 to the other side and divide it with 6, as it is currently multiplied with the x, so:

-> x= 6÷1/4

-> x=24
