Area of Walkway= Total Area - Area of Garden

= 5.5(6x+5) - 4(3.5x+1.5)

= 33x+27.5-14x-6

= 33x-14x+27.5-6

= 19x+21.5

∴ area of the walkway around the garden as the sum of two terms is 19x+21.5
