Here are three reasons why students should be required to have a certain GPA to play school sports:

1. It encourages students to focus on academic achievement while also participating in athletics.
2. It sets a high standard and demonstrates that academics must come first.
3. It ensures that student athletes are put in the best situation to succeed both academically and athletically.

One reason is that the better your grades are the more easily you can receive a scholarship, it shows responsibility to your academics and you will be taken more seriously.another reason is that sports are a privilege not a right, so you can’t just expect to be involved with them you have to earn them just like anything else. Another reason is grades show so much character and shows how a person takes responsibility for one’s work and requirements and how they would positively and or negatively affect the team. In conclusion gpa/sports are equally important too school experiences and both will land you in a good college.
