The Tulsa Race Riots occurred in May 31 1921. Residents, homes, and businesses in Tulsa, Oklahomas predominantly Black Greenwood area were attacked by a white mob. The tragedy, which left hundreds of people dead and thousands were left homeless, it is still considered to be one of the deadliest instances of racial violence in American History.
