They are codependent on one another. If you were to not have one the other would also fail to happen. Cellular respiration has a bi-product of carbon dioxide which plants require to act out photosynthesis. And in action out photosynthesis the plant makes energy and cellular respiration is possible again. That is how these 2 things in a plant are related to one another.
