The family members of a patient beg you not to tell the patient, a 14 year old, that he has a terminal illness. And instead they want you to embellish the truth so the teenager can have the will and hope to live fully. What would you do? Is this a legal or ethical issue?

it is an ethical issue. i would tell the patient because they’re old enough to know and not be protected against knowing something about themselves.
