Explanation:Homologous chromosomes are those chromosomes which pair up during the time of fertilization . They consist of same genes which are present at same loci. During the time of fertilization when maternal and paternal chromosomes segregated and each one of them pair up i.e one comes from maternal side and other from paternal side and leads to the formation of homologus chromosomes.
