y = x + 3 --- 1

y = 4x + 9 --- 2

By combining 1 and 2, we have

x + 3 = 4x + 9

3-9 = 4x-x

-6 = 3x

x = -2

Sub x = -2 into 1

y = (-2) + 3 = 1

Intersection = (-2,1)
