yes, they are, because both triangles have the same 3 angles :

the right angle = 90°

65°

now, the side lengths can be different, but because of the same angles, the ratio between the corresponding side lengths will be the same for all sides (e.g. if one pair of sides has the scaling factor of 3 from the smaller to the larger triangle, then the other pairs will also have the same scaling factor 3).

that is the difference between equivalent and similar : for "equivalent" also the side lengths must be the same.

for "similar" only the angles need to be the same.
