Answer:

=4(12-7) + 10

=4×5 + 10

=20 + 10

=30

It's like you multiply the 4 when variables are in parentheses.

So basically 12 - 7 = 5

And then you multiply 4 by 5 which is 20

and then you add 10 to 20 which makes 30.

4 (12 - 7) + 10 = 30
