Why is it difficult to construct a Lewis structure for NO?

N h as 5 valence electrons, O has 6 valence electrons. Adding them up, you get 11 total electrons to be represented in the lewis structure. Electrons are represented in pairs, so there will be one lone electron in the lewis structure of NO. Molecules with an odd number of valence electrons are also called radical.
