The polar bear is becoming extinct in the North pole. There are currently 60,000 polar bears, but each year the population is cut in half. How many polar bears will be left in 6 years ?

The will be 937 bears left in 6 years.

Explanation:

If the polar bear population is cut in half every year, then after one year there will be 60,000/2 = 30,000 polar bears left. After two years, there will be 30,000/2 = 15,000 polar bears left, and so on.
