A) n + d = 26

B) .05n + .10d = 2.05

We'll multiply equation B) by -20

B) -n -2d = -41 then we add equation A)

A) n + d = 26

-d = -15

dimes = 15

nickles = 11

15 dimes = 1.50 and 11 nickles = .55

1.50 + .55 = 2.05

15 + 11 = 26 coins
