Answer: 0.5ft x 0.5ft = the area per
shaded square

Answer: 0.5ft x 0.5ft = the area per shaded square

Explanation:

Divide 2 by 4 as each side was 2ft but now it is divided into 4 different squares. this will get you 0.5.

0.5*0.5= 0.25
