"China's Sorrow" is an appropriate description of the Huang He because of the fact that millions were killed by flooding. One of the first flood disasters in world history occurred on August, 1931 along the Huang He River in China and killed about 3.7 million people. Thus "China's Sorrow" is an accurate depiction of the Huang He River.
