When c is greater than 0 and d is less than 0, the sign of c divided by d will be negative. This is because when two numbers with opposite signs are divided, the result will always be negative. To illustrate this, consider the example of 3 divided by -2:

3 ÷ -2 = -1.5

In this case, 3 is greater than 0 and -2 is less than 0, so the result of the division is a negative number.
