Joseph Stalin used propaganda to maintain his power in the Soviet Union by creating a cult of personality around himself. He did this by promoting his own image and achievements, while also demonizing his opponents. Through the use of propaganda, Stalin was able to control the narrative and shape public opinion in order to solidify his own power. This was also accomplished through the use of censorship and suppression of opposition, as well as the use of fear and intimidation to ensure that those who disagreed with him would remain quiet. By using propaganda to control the narrative, Stalin was able to maintain his power in the Soviet Union for decades.
