How does it feel to be on the sidelines, watching everyone else do something that looks fun? Why do people on the sidelines often stay there instead of just jumping in and joining the others they watch?

People enjoy staying on the sidelines to watch as often times they feel as if they aren’t worthy enough to join in, or are scared to make a fool of themselves.
