The Ancient Greeks saw it as very important to live in reverence to the gods. When they believed that when they didn't do so, there was a natural disaster which was a punishment from the gods.

Who are the Ancient Greeks?

The Ancient Greeks are usually referred to as the Minoans. The Minoans were said to have lived on Crete - an Island close to mainland Greece.

The Ancient Greeks lived there between the period of 2200BC and 1450BC. The name of their king was Minos.
