She was a phantom of delight
When first she gleam'd upon my sight;
A lovely apparition, sent
To be a moment's ornament;
Her eyes as stars of twilight fair,
Like twilight's, too, her dusky hair;
But all things else about her drawn
From May-time and the cheerful dawn;
A dancing shape, an image gay,
To haunt, to startle, and waylay.
Which figurative language device is present in the bolded text?
Alliteration
O Allusion
O Hyperbole
O Metaphor
the bolded text is to be a moment’s ornament !!!

Answer: Alliteration

Explanation: Alliteration is a literary device that involves repeating the same sound at the beginning of multiple words in a phrase or sentence. In the bolded text, the words “moment’s ornament” both begin with the same sound, “m”, creating an alliterative effect.
