What impact did segregation laws have on Black communities?

Segregation laws prevented people of color from doing things which white people. People of color had to use low quality things while white people got to use higher quality things. For example, white people got to go to school in nice buildings, while people of color had to go to school in run down buildings with very little supplies. This caused the black communities to have lower education.
