The wholesale price of a pen is $0.60. In the city store, the pen is sold for 40% more.

The school library has decided to sell those kinds of pens too, and they buy it from the city store. The price of the pen is then marked up 25% more than its price in the city store.

What is the price of the pen if you buy it from the school library?

$.6 x 40% = $.24

City store price is $.24+$.60=$.84

Library price is ($.84x25%)+$.84=$1.05
