What distinguished an indentured servant from a slave?

Indentured servants differed from slavery in the way that it was a form of debt bondage, (meaning that it was an agreed upon term of unpaid labor that usually paid off the costs of the servants immigration). Plus, indentured servants were usually housed, clothed, and fed when slaves were not. Lastly, indentured servants were paid wages at all, unlike some slaves were.
