12x-8=10x+6
12x-8+8-10x=10x-10x+8+6
12x-10x=+8+6
2x=14
2x/2=14/2
x=7

Explanation: You have to put on one side the x and on the other the numbers to do it you add or subtract from both sides and at the end you divide on both sides so that there is only one x in the left
