There are many situations that still could have led to WWI. The killing of archduke Franz Ferdinand was just the spark that set the flame. There was much tension growing between the countries with how each country kept on growing their military, the alliance’s, and nationalism. No matter what happened something would have caused a war. It might not have been as big as the first World War but it would be close.
